On July 8 (Wednesday), the Good Neighbors Global Impact Foundation (President Hyun Jin-young) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Coal Corporation (CEO Yoo Jeong-bae) to develop and promote the social economy.

The Good Neighbors Global Impact Foundation and the Korea Coal Corporation promised to establish a collaborative network in energy-related R&D and the development of new projects, prepare a collaboration system such as joint development, and make innovative efforts between the NGO and the state-run enterprise.
 
With this MOU, the Good Neighbors Global Impact Foundation and the Korea Coal Corporation will adapt Korea’s coal and briquette technology into appropriate technology in line with the environment of energy poor countries to solve energy issues of local residents and carry out activities that provide support to improve their quality of life. With collaboration in the energy sector, it is expected to generate both social and economic values globally.
 
CEO Yoo Jeong-bae at the Korea Coal Corporation said, “Our appropriate technology for coal and briquette will provide a solution to tackle energy issues and local community problems in energy poor countries. As a state-run company, we will carry on projects that promote international development to improve Korea’s global standing and take the lead in improving social values.”
 
President Hyun Jin-young at the Good Neighbors Global Impact Foundation said, “With our collaboration with the Korea Coal Corporation, we will find practical solutions that people in the field need for international development, and the Good Neighbors Global Impact Foundation will connect it to a social economy project and produce continuous outcomes.”
