What is the Global Impact Challenge?
The Global Impact Challenge is a global collaboration program jointly organized by Good Neighbors Global Impact, an organization specializing in social economy initiatives, and the Korea Agriculture Technology Promotion Agency (KOAT).
The program selects agri-food startups with the potential to create social and economic impact in developing countries and provides opportunities for local business development and collaboration.
Eligibility
Agri-food startups capable of proposing field-applicable solutions to at least one of the 10 local challenges presented, in collaboration with Good Neighbors’ global operations.

Selection Process
- Companies selected for the Basic Program through document screening will be notified individually after email submission. - After completing the Basic Program, companies for the Advanced Program will be selected through the Demo Day.

Real-time monitoring by crop growth stage and measurement of soil microorganisms
Technologies for managing livestock facility temperature and humidity in response to climate change and improving productivity
[Post-Harvest Management & Food Tech]
Storage technologies and infrastructure improvements to prevent losses of grains and fresh produce
Quality assessment of agricultural products such as green coffee beans and integration of value-chain information
[Eco-Friendly Packaging & Materials]
Low-cost, functional, eco-friendly packaging technologies as alternatives to plastic
[Energy & Agricultural Machinery Innovation]
High-efficiency energy solutions utilizing agricultural by-products and biomass
Development of customized agricultural machinery for no-tillage and organic mulching cultivation
[Open Proposal]
Other technologies and services designed to address challenges faced in developing-country contexts
Program Schedule
Online Information Session: Apr. 10 (Fri), 2026, 1:00–2:00 PM (Online)
Application Period: Apr. 13 (Mon) – Apr. 26 (Sun), 2026, deadline at 6:00 PM
Selection Results: Expected May 1 (Fri), 2026
Basic Training (Orientation): May 7 (Thu), 2026, 1:00–6:00 PM (Offline)
In-Depth Mentoring: One session per company between May 8 (Fri) and Jun. 5 (Fri), 2026
Demo Day: Afternoon of Jun. 11 (Thu), 2026
PoC Implementation: On-site implementation by the final selected companies, with schedules arranged individually
* The venue for the training and Demo Day will be announced after considering the number of applicants and will be selected from Yongsan, Yeongdeungpo, Gangnam, or Seongsu in Seoul.

Opportunity to be selected for the Advanced Program through Demo Day
2. Advanced Program (2–3 companies selected from Basic Program participants)
Support for local business development utilizing Good Neighbors’ global infrastructure across 26 countries
PoC implementation funding for companies selected for the Advanced Program
Review of opportunities for joint ventures and investment partnerships
Additional points in the evaluation process for the following year’s KOAT Agri-Food Venture & Startup Support Program
